A Doctor in the House: A memoirs of Tun M

8 years of waiting and today his most anticipating autobiography - A Doctor in the House: The Memoirs of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will hit the bookstores and he'll be in MPH Mid Valley for the autograph signing (again, i terlepas!).. I'll buy it as soon as today Tun!
Description from mphonline:

-In his twenty-two years as Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr Mahathir Mohamad transformed his country from an agricultural backwater into an industrial powerhouse that would become the seventeenth-largest trading nation in the world.

This remarkable achievement was not without controversy, and Dr Mahathir's extraordinary vision and iron grip earned him both enemies as well as ardent admirers within and outside of Malaysia. He has been described—typically and paradoxically—as a tyrannical dictator, a bĂȘte noir, as well as inspiring, courageous and an outspoken defender of the downtrodden, the Third World, and moderate Islam.

At almost every turn Dr Mahathir rewrote the rules. This book reveals hitherto unknown aspects of this intensely private, but publicly bold, statesman. It provides a clear and compelling narrative of modern Malaysian political history as seen through the eyes of one its greatest shapers. It is neither apology nor defence, but a forceful, compelling and often exciting account of how Dr Mahathir achieved what he did in so short a time, and why.-

Mastering the Art of French Cooking

Alright, i already finished reading the novel... 5 ***** novel 4 me!
and just finished watching the movie! ♥♥♥
good job Meryl Streep&Amy Adams !
It is a true-story about 1 of the famous American Chef- Julia Child and a blogger/writer- Julie Powell...
"Julie & Julia is a 2009 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Nora Ephron. The film depicts events in the life of chef Julia Child in the early years in her culinary career, contrasting her life with Julie Powell, who aspires to cook all 524 recipes from Child's cookbook during a single year, a challenge she described on her popular blog that would make her a published author." more
Julie played by Amy Adams, Julia played by Meryl Streep
What i love most about this movie is how it shows the hubby-wife relationship.. the hubby supports his wife 120% for her passion in cooking.. for me, we can only cook/ bake yummeh food if only we are happy and passionate.. Both women get much support from their husbands, although at one point Julie's husband is fed up with her excessive devotion to her hobby and leaves her briefly for a few days. But most of the time he will give positive comments to all of Julie's cook... they love each other so much.. After 365 days, she managed to cook all 524 recipes from Julia's book-Mastering the Art of French Cooking...
Julia's hubby is a romantic man! He was so supportive and encouraging.. He was the 1 who introduced Julia to fine cuisine.. when they moved to Paris, Julia went to a cooking class and she was a quick learner, she was brilliant in cooking & full of spirit...
and below is the real Julia Child
-an American chef, author, and television personality
Julia Child died on 13/8/2004, of kidney failure at her assisted-living home in Montecito, two days before her 92nd birthday!
her famous book
Mastering the Art of French Cooking
this book has been republished for more than 50 times!

if u love cooking, i think u shuld watch this movie, or read the book
every1 can cook if only they have the passion!
