"Trying to lose weight doesn’t mean a lifetime of salads," clinical psychologist Dr. Ramani Durvasula says.

"It's about learning to say no and yes at the same time. Eat slowly. Eat regularly. Eat what you want, but eat less of it. You want the burger? Order it, and then cut a third of it and throw the rest out. Buy that Hershey bar from the machine. Eat one square and throw the rest out. You are bigger than that candy bar – show it who’s boss. This is not about wasting food it is about taking care of you."
